Excursion to Berlin
At the beginning of August, we went on our annual excursion to Berlin. It was a fantastic trip! We started with a train journey from Stuttgart to Berlin on the FlixTrain. It couldn’t be faster or cheaper. In Berlin, we stayed at Marta’s Guesthouses (run by the Berlin City Mission), where we felt very comfortable. The days were filled with interesting experiences: We saw the entire government district from a boat on the Spree River, spent time at the Deutschlandmuseum, walked along the East Side Gallery, and enjoyed the view of Berlin from the top of the Kollhoff Tower. The highlight was a guided tour of the Reichstag and Bundestag, which was organized for us by the office of Member of Parliament Steffen Bilger. We even stood in front of the office of Chancellor Friedrich Merz, who unfortunately was on vacation.
We felt very comfortable in Berlin and thank the donors who funded this excursion.
